Jessica, 18, attended Queen Margaret College in Wellington. She has been an active member in humanitarian events throughout her time at school, including attending Model United Nations, Relay for Life and a service trip to Fiji. However, it was her choice of studying Environmental Systems and Societies in the International Baccalaureate program that primarily catalysed her environmental interest. She has become readily aware of the role that the environment plays in her school and society, and has joined a variety of environmental groups to contribute to her community. These include both the Wellington Interschools Leadership Council, and Climate Challenge who work in conjunction with Generation Zero. Jessica has since attained her International Baccalaureate diploma and is excited to attend the University of Auckland in 2016, studying law, geography and philosophy, she aspires to become an environmental lawyer one day.
