Our Southern Wilderness Revealed
The Auckland Islands truly are a wild environment.
The Auckland Islands marine environment is both harsh and tranquil. It contains an array of well adapted species, yet some common mainland marine counterparts are either under-represented or missing. This marine world has not been studied in great detail, however overtime, as more data is gathered, details of past climates will emerge, as well as information on the impacts of our currently changing climate on marine life.
This poster attempts to reveal the mysteries of the Auckland Islands marine environment by linking current scientific studies with concepts from the New Zealand Curriculum.
