Anzac Gallate

Anzac, 16, is a student at Cashmere High School, Christchurch, and is the Chairperson of Cashmere High School Sustainability Council. Last year when Cashmere High School won the Zayed Future Energy Prize – a $100,000 USD prize to install a solar grid and a wind turbine – and the council played a leading role in reducing the electricity usage of the school, which led to winning the prize. Anzac represented the school as a previous winner of the prize at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability week earlier this year. He is the captain of a team competing in the global competition of Future Problem Solving and a Live For Tomorrow Ambassador.
