I manage the environmental programmes, including Young Blake Expeditions, Blake Ambassadors and the Environmental Educator and science outreach initiatives. I obtained my BSc in Earth Science at Massey University and my MSc in Geology at the University of Otago, where I held an AINSE Postgraduate Research Award. I am currently undertaking my PhD at the University of Otago. My research focuses on past Antarctic climate and ice sheet behaviour. I have participated in four scientific expeditions to Antarctica and have been on two expeditions to the Auckland Islands as part of the Department of Conservation yellow-eyed penguin monitoring programme and on the 2016 Young Blake Expedition.
