Harry Josephson-Rutter began working at Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium in early 2011 as a customer service rep before moving to Tauranga in 2012 where he gained a diploma in Marine Studies from the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic as well as receiving his PADI dive instructor’s certification. He returned to the aquarium in February 2014 as an aquarist and has been there since. His role now includes feeding the fish, taking customers diving with the sharks, doing rehabilitation work with sick turtles, keeping the large filtration system running as well as a variety of other jobs. If he isn’t at work you will still find him underwater exploring and photographing reefs and shipwrecks or passing on his passion by teaching others to dive. He grew up in Auckland, but spent summers on the coast in the far north spending as much time in the water as possible.
