Cheyenne Christensen-Field

Cheyenne is studying a Bachelor of Science (Technology) at the University of Waikato. Growing up in the Bay of Islands she has always had a hunger for adventure and is fascinated by coastal systems and marine life. From a young age she was involved in the Experiencing Marine Reserves program and was part of a group of volunteers which responded to a mass whale stranding in the far north in 2010.

Cheyenne is a qualified lifeguard and spent a large amount of her teen years as national age group competitive swimmer. She has used her Residential Assistant role in the halls at Waikato University to initiate and innovate a more effective recycling system to instill good habits in residents. In her spare time, she loves tramping and exploring the many great destinations at Hamilton’s fingertips.
